Members of the
Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians of California elected Jeff Grubbe as chairman.
Grubbe was serving as acting chair following the death of Richard Milanovich in March. He doesn't plan any major changes in the tribe's activities.
"The main issue is just showing the Coachella Valley we're still the same tribe, even though Richard's not here to lead us,” Grubbe previously told The Palm Springs Desert Sun . “We're going to operate the same way. Nothing drastic is going to happen.
Grubbe was serving as the tribe's vice chair so another election will be held to fill the post.
