Members of the Crow Tribe of Montana elected Darrin Old Coyote as chairman in an election on Saturday.
Old Coyote defeated incumbent Cedric Black Eagle by a tally of 2,320 to 1,829, The Billings Gazette reported. He will start his four-year term on December 3.
Black Eagle was elected chairman in 2009 and served as interim chair following the death of then-chairman Carl Venne earlier that year.
