Photo © Sparks Tribune Wayne Burke, the chairman of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe of Nevada, died unexpectedly on Sunday. The tribe's police chief told The Reno Gazette-Journal that Burke's death is under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for today. Burke's age was not immediately known, the paper said. He served as chairman since 2011 and first joined the tribal council in 2010. He was recently appointed to the Nevada Commission on Tourism, the first tribal member to serve on the panel.
