Fort Peck Tribes charge man for homicide in hit-and-run case

The Fort Peck Tribes of Montana laid homicide and other charges against a man accused in a hit-and-run case.

David Muskrat allegedly tracked down Rueben Blackdog on the reservation and ran into him with his car on September 1. Witnesses said he fled the scene.

Blackdog, 33, died at a hospital. He was a father of six and had another child on the way, The Billings Gazette reported.

Federal charges are likely against Muskrat.
