The
Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation
of North Dakota wants a 9,300-acre ranch placed in trust
The tribe bought the property in 1999 and it currently houses a bison farm. The site generates about $3,500 in local property taxes.
The
Bureau of Indian Affairs
is considering the tribe's application.
