The Nasa Tribe in southwestern Colombia stepped up its campaign against the military occupation of its territory. Hundreds of tribal members attacked a makeshift military camp on Tuesday, forcing soldiers out while beating them with sticks. The soldiers were reportedly under order not to fight back and no major injuries were reported. Tribal leaders have demanded the exit of the military but Defense Minister Juan Carlos Pinzon said the government was planning on sending more troops to the war-torn region. Get the Story:
