BIA approves land-into-trust bid for Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe

The
Bureau of Indian Affairs
approved a land-into-trust application for the
Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe
of Washington.
The tribe purchased the 390-acre site in 2004. The state recently relinquished mineral rights on the land.
The tribe is considering housing and other economic development projects on the land.
