California tribes among biggest contributors to political causes

Three southern California tribes were in the top 20 contributors to political causes in the last 12 years, according to a new report from
California Watch
.
The
Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians
donated $52.6 million to various causes since 2001, the report said. The tribe was the fourth largest donor during that time.
The
Morongo Band of Mission Indians
ranked fifth, with $50.4 million in contributions. The
Pala Band of Mission Indians
came in 13th, with donations of $20.4 million.
