Eastern Shoshone Tribe wants to enter eagle permit lawsuit

Wyoming's only federally recognized tribes are at odds over a plan to kill bald eagles.

As part of an ongoing lawsuit, the Northern Arapaho Tribe received a permit kill two bald eagles from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The tribe, however, says the permit is useless because it can't be used on the Wind River Reservation.

The Eastern Shoshone Tribe shares the reservation. The tribe is seeking to join the lawsuit because it opposes the killing of eagles on the reservation.
