A Native woman who went missing on December 13, 2011, was found dead in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Carolyn Sinclair, 25, who was from the
Roseau River First Nation, told family she would be home for Christmas.
She never turned up and her body was found near a dumpster on March 13.
Sinclair, who was pregnant when she died, was a sex worker, authorities said.
She is one of nearly two dozen victims in Winnipeg whose lives came to a violent end.
Her older sister, Amanda Sinclair, was on the same path until she got off drugs and stopped working the streets.
She said she is going to encourage other young women to stay sober and stop participating in sex trafficking.
