White Mountain Apache woman sentenced over DUI death

A woman from the
White Mountain Apache Tribe
of Arizona was sentenced in connection with a drunken driving incident.
Adrienne Lee Shipp, 19, was sentenced to 108 months for involuntary manslaughter and assault resulting in serious bodily injury. A federal jury convicted her for the death of a 5-year-old girl and for injuries to the girl's 4-year-old cousin.
Shipp reportedly drank a pint of vodka before getting behind the wheel on May 5, 2011. After running over the two girls, she tried to flee the scene.
