Letter: Alcohol sales at Whiteclay nothing short of 'genocide'





"The situation in Whiteclay is nothing short of genocide on the Native Americans who live on the neighboring Pine Ridge Reservation, which is dry.

The Journal Star featuring a photo of John Red Shirt, "Mayor of Whiteclay," lying intoxicated on the sidewalk in 2005 that is a disgrace to Native Americans who battle alcoholism in the region."
