Supreme Court to hear arguments in Indian law cases in April





The U.S. Supreme Court has scheduled oral arguments in two Indian law cases.

On April 18, the justices will hear Salazar v. Ramah Navajo Chapter. The case is a class action over contract support costs in self-determination contracts.

The following week, on April 24, Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians v. Patchak and Salazar v. Patchak. The case involves a land-into-trust application filed by the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians of Michigan, also known as the Gun Lake Tribe.
