Letter: Campaign of lies against 'Fighting Sioux' supporters

"In 2007, the NCAA and UND along with the State Board of Higher Education called on the Sioux people to speak.

Because the Spirit Lake Tribe did not speak the words they wanted to hear and the Standing Rock members were not going to speak the words they wanted to hear, the board, NCAA, UND and Standing Rock Tribal Council went into panic mode.

A campaign of distortion, lies, gagging the people and character assassination went into effect, and it has continued to this day.

Expenses were and are of no concern (as long as the taxpayers can be made to keep paying the bills).

But trifling and fiddling with a race of people should be of concern to everyone.:
