Meskwaki Nation
of Iowa says its former police chief committed wrongdoing while in office.
Christopher Knouse, 45, is facing numerous charges in state court. He allegedly sold a number of firearms without a proper permit.
The incident occurred last month. The tribe has hired a new police chief.
