police officer has been cleared in the fatal shooting of a member of the
Ute Mountain Ute Tribe
of Colorado.
U.S. Attorney John Walsh
determined that Lt. Joseph Keel was justified in shooting Spencer Posey in May 2011. Posey threatened Keel's life and came at him with a hatchet.
Posey, 34, was shot once in the chest.
