Chris Eyre to run film department at New Mexico university

Chris Eyre
, a member of the
Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes
, will lead the film department at the
Santa Fe University of Art and Design
in New Mexico.
Eyre is best known for his directing
Smoke Signals
. His latest film,
Hideaway
, is due this year.
Eyre will take over the Moving Image Arts Department on February 1, the Associated Press reported.
