Pueblo man indicted in tribal court for death of young cyclist

A Laguna Pueblo man has been indicted in tribal court for the death of a 19-year-old bicyclist.

Gilbert Waconda, 57, is charged with vehicular homicide and reckless driving. Tribal authorities say he struck and killed John Anczarski on a highway on the reservation in June 2010.

Anczarski, who was non-Indian, was participating in a nationwide bike run to raise money for breast cancer research.

Federal authorities declined to bring charges against Waconda.
