Samson Cree Nation votes on bylaw targeting gang members





Members of the Samson Cree Nation of Alberta are voting on a bylaw aimed at banishing gang members from the reserve.

The bylaw allows 25 residents to petition to remove another person from the reserve. If the person if a band member, a two-thirds vote by the chief and council are required prior to banishment.

For non-band members, a residency tribunal will make the decision.
