Donation from Choctaw Nation puts eye institute close to goal

The
Choctaw Nation
of Oklahoma has donated $1 million to the
Dean McGee Eye Institute Capital Campaign
.
The tribe's donation puts the institute within $2 million of its $46 million goal to build a new research center and renovate its building.
The institute's ophthalmologists have treated more than 3,000 Choctaws.
