Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico reopens after blaze

Bandelier National Monument in northern New Mexico has reopened after surviving a major fire that caused significant damage at nearby Santa Clara Pueblo.

The monument is home to ancestral Pueblo villages and sites. No major damage was reported anywhere due to the Las Conchas Fire.

Santa Clara Pueblo, on the other hand, saw 16,000 acres burned by the fire. The tribe estimates it causes millions of dollars in damages.
