Santa Fe Indian Market opens doors to Native artists outside of US

For the first time, the Santa Fe Indian Market is open to Native artists from outside the United States.

This year, 15 artists from First Nations in Canada are showing their products at the 90th annual market. They join the 1,050 artists from tribes in the U.S.

"It exemplifies the growth of market," Gabe Gomez, the director of external affairs for Southwestern Association for Indian Arts, told The Santa Fe New Mexican.

The market takes place Saturday and Sunday.
