House Natural Resources Committee hosts markup on Wednesday





The House Natural Resources Committee will hold a markup this Wednesday on several bills.

Three Indian bills are on the agenda. They are:
H.R.1158, the Montana Mineral Conveyance Act. The bill settles a dispute over coal subsurface rights for the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. The committee held a hearing on the bill on June 23.
H.R.1421. The bill authorizes the Cherokee Nation to construct hydroelectric generating facilities at the W.D. Mayo Lock and Dam on the Arkansas River in Oklahoma. The committee held a hearing on the bill on July 12.
H.R. 1560. The bill allows the Tigua Tribe of Texas to set its own membership standards. The committee held a hearing on the bill on June 23.

The markup takes place at 10am in Room 1324 of the Longworth House Office Building.
