Census offers details of Alaska Native population in Anchorage

Anchorage is home to 23,130 Alaska Natives, according to the 2010 Census, making it the the largest Native community in the state.
The 2010 count offered Natives a chance to list their tribal affiliation. Inupiats were the largest group, with 4,018 in Anchorage, followed by 3,243 Yup'iks in the city.
The Census also showed 2,627 Athabascans in Anchorage and 2,475 Aleuts.
That gives the city the distinction of having the largest concentration of Inupiats, Yup'iks, Athabascans and Aleuts in the state.
