Gerald Lewis, a member of the
Yakama Nation
, has been elected chairman of the
Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission
.
Lewis will serve one year. He was chosen for the position by other members of the commission.
The commission represents the four tribes with treaty rights on the Columbia River -- the Yakama Nation, the
Umatilla Tribes
, the
Nez Perce Tribe
and the
Warm Springs Tribes
.
