The Humboldt County, California, Sheriff's Office has joined the investigation into a drive-by shooting at the home of a council member of the Hoopa Valley Tribe.
No one was injured in the May 18 shooting. But tribal leaders believe it was retaliation against Margaret Dickson, who voted to remove another council member from office.
Ryan Jackson was removed by a 5-0 vote before the shooting occurred.
