Mississippi Choctaws hold special election for council seat

The
Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians
held a special election last week to fill a seat on the tribal council.
Cheriena Ben will represent the Pearl River community. She was the largest vote getter among 24 candidates.
Ben replaces Edward Wesley, who died in March.
