Elouise Cobell recovering after 'successful' cancer surgery

Elouise Cobell, the lead plaintiff in the
Indian trust fund lawsuit
, is recovering after undergoing cancer surgery last month.
Cobell, a member of the
Blackfeet Nation
, told the Associated Press that she had surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota on April 22. “The doctor said it was 99 percent successful," she was quoted as saying.
Cobell, who declined to give details about the cancer, said she will have to undergo chemotherapy.
