Navajo Nation names new director for Washington office

Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly appointed a new leader for the tribe's office in Washington, D.C.

Clara Pratte will serve as executive director of the Navajo Nation Washington Office. She most recently was the director of the Office of Native American Affairs of the Small Business Administration.

"I appointed Clara Pratte for her demonstrated leadership and management skills in addition to her expertise in solving public policy issues," Shelly said in a press release. "She understands the Navajo Nation’s priorities and will do an exceptional job as our new executive director."
