The
Lower Brule Sioux Tribe
of South Dakota has received a $1 million grant from the
Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community
of Minnesota.
The Lower Brule Sioux Tribe will use the money for
Lakota Foods
, its food company.
The Shakopees also awarded $1 million to the
Santee Sioux Tribe
of Nebraska for youth training, energy assistance and other programs.
