Roger Yankton Sr. has won election as chairman of the
Spirit Lake Dakotah Nation
of North Dakota.
Yankton 64, previously served on the tribal council. He has worked for the tribe for more than 30 years.
Yankton defeated Leander Russ McDonald, 48, the dean at
Cankdeska Cikana Community College
, for the post.
