Red Earth Festival celebrates 25th birthday in Oklahoma

The Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival is turning 25 this year.
The event began in 1986. It now attracts more than 12,000 participants and 27,000 attendees and has an annual economic impact of nearly $9 million.
“It's the largest event of its kind in the entire world,” Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb told The Oklahoman. “What a wonderful thing for Oklahoma to brag about and showcase in our great state.”
This year's fest takes place June 3-5 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
