Stabbing turns deadly on Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation

A young member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Ojibwe Indians in Wisconsin is dead after a fight broke out on the reservation early Thursday morning.

John "JB" McDaniel, 23, died from injuries after being stabbed, The Ojibwe News reported. Three others -- including McDaniel's brother -- were also injured.

The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Department arrested two people in connection with the incident. Two more people are wanted and they are said to be juveniles, although police say the crime isn't linked to gangs.
