Mashantucket Tribe signs contract with firefighters union

The
Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation
has signed a contract with the
Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters of Connecticut
.
The contract took three years to negotiate. It's the first union agreement that the tribe has reached with non-gaming employees.
The union, which represents 21 non-supervisory fire fighters, organized under tribal law.
