Gov. Chris Gregoire
(D) is asking the federal government to declare a disaster for the
Yakama Nation
.
The tribe lost 100 homes to a fire on February 12. More than 75 people have been left homeless, the Associated Press reports.
The tribe says it needs about $2.8 million to rebuild.
