A leader of the Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribe of Nevada will be participating in a local “Dancing with the Stars" competition.

Steve Austin, the tribe's first representative, is eager to dance the salsa with his partner Deena Cervantes, who won last's year contest. "I was selected by my fellow councilmen to step up and represent the Tribe," Austin told The Lahontan Valley News. "I saw it could be fun, exciting and I would enjoy a new life experience that I would have never done before.”

Proceeds from the event benefit the Churchill County High School Fallon Swing Kids.
