The
Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians
of Michigan will hold a primary election on May 9 to fill four council seats.
Twenty-one candidates have filed to run. Two incumbents -- Gerald Chingwa and Regina Gasco-Bentley -- are seeking to retain their posts on the council.
The top eight vote-getters will advance to the general election on June 27.
