James Ramos, the chairman of the
San Manuel Band of Mission Indians
, has been appointed to the
California State Board of Education
.
Ramos as served as chair of his tribe since 2008. He recently won re-election to the
San Bernardino Community College
Board of Trustees..
Ramos was named to the state board post by new
Gov. Jerry Brown
(D).
