San Manuel chairman wins election to college's board of trustees
James Ramos, the chairman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, won re-election to San Bernardino Community College Board of Trustees.
Ramos was first elected to the board in 2005. He will be serving his second two-year term.
"I truly believe that one of the most vital components of a strong San Bernardino and a strong region is to make educational opportunities available to our citizens," Ramos said. "The Community College provides a safe, quality education for thousands of residents. I am thankful for the opportunity to continue my efforts to improve it."
Ramos is the first Native American to be elected to the board.
