The Chickasaw Nation incorporated aspects of tribal culture in its new $145 million hospital. The 358,000-square-foot Chickasaw Nation Medical Center opened in July. Rooms are larger to accommodate larger Chickasaw families, windows are spaced randomly throughout the facility to reflect features of Chickasaw art, the facades and flooring mimic the geometry of traditional Chickasaw neckwear. and signs are in Chickasaw and English. “Response to the new medical center has been extremely positive,” said Gov.
