Chickasaw Nation ready for August move to $145M medical center
The Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma held a dedication ceremony on Monday for its new health center. The $145 million Chickasaw Nation Medical Center replaces an aging facility. The 370,000 square-foot building is three times the size of the old one and features a hospital, an emergency department, ab ambulatory care facility, a diabetes care center, an imaging center, a women's health center and an expanded dental care center. The tribe plans to move into the new facility around August 1. The tribe paid for the center with a $90 million bond and $55 million of its own funds. Get the Story:
