Santa Fe Indian School promises more public communication
Santa Fe Indian School said it will make a better attempt at communicating with the public.

The school, owned and operated by the All Indian Pueblo Council, hired a public relations firm to assist with its effort. Calabaza Consultants, a firm based at Isleta Pueblo, will handle communications duties.

"We realize that we have a need for better communication between the school and the community at large," Superintendent Everett Chavez said in a press release, The Albuquerque Journal reported.

The school has been in the news over the fate of the famed Paolo Soleri Amphitheatre. The 19 Pueblo tribes officially confirmed the venue will be closing on August 1 despite opposition from former students and local and state officials.
