Crow Nation Tea Party criticizes sale of water in energy bid

The Crow Nation Tea Party is criticizing on the Crow Tribe of Montana for selling water as part of an energy project.

The group says the sale of water to $7 billion coal-to-liquids Many Stars energy plant jeopardizes tribal rights. The group also says tribal members won't qualify for jobs for the project as promised.

The tribe entered into a deal with Australian-American Energy Co. build a plant that will convert coal reserves into diesel and other fuels. The project is expected to generate 4,000 construction jobs and 900 permanent jobs.
