Crow Nation Tea Party rallies off-reservation support
The newly formed Crow Nation Tea Party held its first rally on Monday. The rally took place in Hardin, a city near the reservation. Participants criticized leaders of the Crow Tribe, the Indian Health Service and -- like the rest of the Tea Party movement -- President Barack Obama, who has been adopted by a Crow family. “We want them out of there because they are mismanaging tribal funds,” said former chairman Adrian Bird Sr. of the group's attempt to impeach siting tribal leaders. “We need to get the people together.” Other Tea Party members from the area joined the protest to show their support.
