The Mohegan Tribe of
Connecticut will contribute $50,000 to the Sachem
Fund this year.
The tribe originally pledged $200,000 a year for five years. But the tribe reduced its contribution as it weathered the national recession.
The fund is used for economic development and cultural projects..
