The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community of Minnesota donated a total of $86,000 to 67 powwows in fiscal year 2009.
Most of the donations went to powwows in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The largest donation of $20,000 supported the Mahkato Mdewakanton Association powwow in Mankato, Minnesota.
