The Bureau of Indian Affairs is expected to rule on the disenrollment of dozens of members of the Robinson Rancheria of
Pomo Indians of California.
Last December, the tribal council removed the late Marie Boggs Quitiquit from the rolls. That resulted in the removal of 66 of her descendants and relatives, who have filed appeals with the BIA.
Additionally, some of the people who are being disenrolled are being evicted from tribal housing units. About 30 people held a protest on Saturday to call attention to the dispute.
