A third lawsuit has been filed in Navajo Nation court on behalf of a man who said he was abused as a teen by a former priest.
The man, now 45, is being represented by Jeff Anderson & Associates of Minnesota. The firm has filed all three cases against Charles “Chuck” Cichanowicz, who served at parishes on the reservation in the 1980s.
Cichanowicz reportedly lives in Indiana and recently left his job at a counseling center, where he dealt with teens. The Gallup Independent contacted his former employer, who said there were no complaints against him.
