A secret Yale University society whose members include three generations of former president George W. Bush's family is part of a lawsuit that seeks to rebury the remains of Apache warrior Geronimo.

A Skull and Bones legend has Prescott S. Bush, Bush's grandfather, breaking into Geronimo's grave and stealing the skull. The skull is purportedly kept in the group's clubhouse in New Haven, Connecticut.

A letter uncovered by a historian cites the theft but the society won't comment on it. Geronimo's great grandson, Harlyn Geronimo, hopes the lawsuit will resolve the issue once and for all.

Geronimo was born in southern New Mexico, where his Apache bands were based. He is buried in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where he was held as a prisoner of war.
