The Senate Indian Affairs
Committee will hold a business meeting and oversight hearing this Thursday.
The meeting will focus on pending business. The committee is expected to take up on S.1790,
the Indian Health Care Improvement Reauthorization and Extension Act of 2009, though an official agenda hasn't been posted online.
The hearing will cover dentl health in Indian Country and contract health services, which the Indian Health Service uses to pay for care provided outside of the IHS system. The money typically runs out within a few months of every fiscal year.
The business meeting take place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
